Living with plants

I wanted to show you all my living room today and talk about how I keep my plants here. First things first, I wanted to bust two myths there are about indoor plants.

Firstly, all Leafy or foliage plants do well indoor. My mother has been keeping plants inside the house since forever and they've all lasted.
Secondly, all plants need sunlight. The amount of light may vary, but essentially all plants need bright indirect light for at least 6 hours a day. This room faces East and I open up the windows for a few hours every morning so that all of these guys get lots of light. I don't even move them out, they all sit here forever.
If you're thinking of bringing plants into your living spaces, spend some time in the room and see where you get the most amount of light and place your plants there. I've discovered this side of the room gets the most light and anything that I want to grow faster I place in this light.

If you're a beginner in plants and want that one perfect one that you'll be sure you don't kill, I'd recommend the syngonium or the pothos/money plant. They're sturdy, need light and grow into these beautiful lush bushes that give you a lot of happiness.

I'd love to see your homes and your plants and would be totally game to answering your questions on your plant babies so leave them to me in the comments below.
I’ve also compiled a list of must haves for your home- pots, plants and other things you’ll need to setup your own urban jungle
